Visit Civic Library to see a very timely Olympic exhibition. "Welcome to Beijing" is a wonderful snapshot of the Beijing Olympics, and features a selection of photographs and souvenirs including:
- An Olympic torch and torch bearer's t-shirt;
- Olympic memorabilia - chinaware, pins, bags, caps, and stamps;
- Photos of Olympic venues - including the "Water Cube" and the "Bird Cage"; and
- Photos of Chinese sights - the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace.
This is your only chance to see this exhibition in Canberra. Life size plush mascots are waiting to welcome you, so why not bring a camera along and have your photo taken with one of them.
